  MRS. RALPH S. STEVANUS
  
    Mrs. Alda Viola Stevanus, 79, of 1317 Ella Avenue, Cumberland, died
  March 24, 1975, at the Cumberland Nursing Home, where she had been a
  patient for a year and a half.
    Born Jan. 27, 1896, in Berlin, she was the daughter of the late
  Henry and Susan (Sivits) Brant.  
    She was a graduate of the State Normal School in Berlin and had
  been a school teacher in Pennsylvania.  Mrs. Stevanus was a member of
  Calvary United Methodist Church.
    She is survived by her husband, Ralph S. Stevanus; two daughters,
  Mrs. L. R. McKenzie, LaVale, Md.; and Mrs. Carl Weakley, Frederick,
  Md.; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a brother, Miles
  Brant, and a sister, Mrs. Albert Cober, both of Berlin.
    Funeral service was conducted Wednesday morning in Scarpelli
  Funeral Home, Cumberland, with Rev. William G. Patterson
  officiating.  Interment in the Ridge Church Cemetery, Berlin.
