  STEVANUS
  
  Alverta E. Stevanus, 68, Salisbury, died Thursday, May 12, Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born June 27, 1908 in Elk Lick Twp., daughter of
  the late Jonas and Ellen Tressler Stevanus.  Preceded in death by her
  husband Jerry and two children.  Survived by one daughter, Mrs. Gilda
  Yoder, Salisbury, and two sons, Clifford of Somerset and Martin of
  Meyersdale; also one sister, Mrs. Mabel Schramm, Salisbury; 12
  grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was a member of the
  Oak Dale Mennonite Church where services will be held Monday at 2
  p.m., Rev. Paul H. Yoder officiating.  Interment, St. Paul
  Cemetery.  The body will lie in state in the church from 1 p.m. until
  the time of the service.  Friends will be received at the Thomas
  Funeral Home, Salisbury, after 2 p.m. Saturday.
