DANIEL STEVANUS

  Daniel Stevanus, retired coal miner, died at his home in Coal Run September 
17, of myocarditis.
  He had been ill about a year and a half and was bedfast a large part of that 
time.  Mr. Stevanus was born in Coal Run May 3, 1866, a son of Margaret (Haus) 
and Samuel Stevanus, and was 88 years, 4 months and 14 days in age at his death.
  He is survived by two sons, Jerry and Albert Stevanus, both of Coal Run; by 
five daughters, Mrs. Savilla Fisher and Mrs. Ada Knee of Coal Run; Mrs. Cora 
Romesberg, Garrett; Miss Rose Stevanus, Coal Run, and Mrs. Margaret Gill, 
Cincinnati, Ohio, and one sister, Mrs. Annie Gray, Meyersdale.
  Funeral services were conducted in the Coal Run Church at 2:30 p.m. on 
Tuesday, September 20, with the Rev. Ivan Miller of the Conservative Amish 
Church officiating.  Interment in the St. Paul Cemetery in charge of Mortician 
Stanley M. Thomas.
