She was born in Somerset County on November 18, 1868, a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Boon) Kendall. Surviving are her husband, Daniel Stevanus, and the following children: Mrs. James Gill, New Jersey; Mrs. Herbert Knee, Berlin; Mrs. James Romesburg, Garrett; Mrs. Edward Fisher, Coal Run; Miss Rose Stevanus, at home; and Jerry and Albert Stevanus, both at Coal Run. She also leaves thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two brothers, Louis Kendall, Meyersdale, and Franklin, Cumberland, Md. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday afternoon, April 1, at the Stevanus home by the Rev. Roy Otto. Interment in St. Paul cemetery in Elk Lick Township, under the direction of W. C. Price and Son, local morticians. Meyersdale Republican, April 2, 1942
