  MARGARET STEVANUS
  
    Mrs. Margaret M. Stevanus, 72, of Frostburg RD 1, died June 1, 1978
  in Sacred Heart Hospital.
    Born in Greenville Township, she was a daughter of the late John M.
  and Alice (Garlets) Deal.
    Mrs. Stevanus was a retired housekeeper with 25 years at Frostburg
  State College and was a member of Shaft United Methodist Church and
  the auxiliary of Shaft Volunteer Fire Company.
    Surviving are her husband, Charles E. Stevanus; a son, John H.
  Stevanus, Tucson, Ariz.; three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Hersch,
  Meyersdale RD 4; Miss Alice Stevanus, Frostburg RD 1; and Mrs.
  Mildred Harbel, Baltimore; five sisters, Mrs. Sadie Caton, Miss Clara
  Deal, Miss Mabel Deal and Miss Carrie Deal, all of Salisbury; and Mrs.
  Lula Fetzer, LaVale, and six grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where
  services were conducted by the Rev. Katherine Bratton.  Interment in
  Greenville Cemetery.
