B. Stevanus of Salisbury, died at her home Jan. 11, at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 19 days. Her death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage, after having suffered a long time from diabetes and high blood pressure. She was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Garlitz Koontz, and lived her entire life in the Salisbury community. She is survived by her husband and these children: Emmet T. and Allen W. Stevanus, Wilkinsburg; George V. Stevanus, Edgewood; Mrs. Thelma Mayhew, Arnettsville, W.Wa., and Mrs. Florence Smith, Smithburg, Md. She is also survived by these sisters and one brother, namely, Mrs. Della Davis and Mrs. Florence Wells, Braddock, and Milton Koontz, North Braddock. She was a faithful wife, a kind and loving mother, and a kind and considerate neighbor, one who always had the best interests of her family and home community at heart. She did the best she could under any and all circumstances. She was also a faithful member of St. John's Reformed Church from her early childhood. Funeral services were held Wednesday, at 2:30 p.m., at the church where she worshipped for so many years, and were conducted by Rev. Alvin J. Forry, pastor of the St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church, Elk Lick Township. Interment was in the Salisbury I.O.O.F. Cemetery, under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas, Salisbury mortician.
