R. J. STEVANUS

  R. J. Stevanus, 73, of Berlin, died on Wednesday, June 4th, in the Somerset 
Community Hospital to which he had been admitted the previous day.
  He was born in Somerset County, a son of Jonas and Susan Hershberger Stevanus, 
and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna (Sarver) Stevanus, and the following 
children: Ralph Stevanus and Mrs. Clarence Uncapher, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. W. H. 
Black, Baltimore; Mary Stevanus, Friedens R.D.; Mrs. H. S. Rose, Confluence; 
Mrs. F. R. Glessner, Berlin; Mrs. Joe Patsy, Cumberland; also by the following 
brothers and sisters: W. J. Stevanus, Prescott, Kansas; H. A. Stevanus, 
Appleton, Minn.; V. R. Stevanus, Turtle Creek, Pa.; Mrs. K. S. Naylor, Los 
Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. P. F. Coleman, Ingram, Pa.; Mrs. Carrie Kearton, 
Wissington Springs, S.D.; Mrs. W. O. Knoebel, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. R. T. 
Bittner, Somerset; Mrs. Jacob Sarver, Berlin.
  Funeral services were held at the Johnson Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m., Rev. 
Robert S. Nagle officiating.  Interment in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
