  Charles E. "Skinny" Stevens, 82, Boswell RD 1, died Feb. 18, 1985, at
  home.  Born Sept. 5, 1902, in Jenner Township, Somerset County, son of
  Adam and Emma (Griffith) Stevens.  Preceded in death by parents. 
  Survived by widow, the former Edverta E. Chaplain; son, Earl L.,
  married to the former Ruth Shaffer, Boswell RD 1; two grandchildren,
  David L. and Debra, wife of Dennis Scheffel; and one sister, Florence
  Glessner, Boswell RD 1.  Member of Jenner Township Baptist Church and
  Jenner Local 1742 UMW of A.  Celebrated 50th wedding anniversary June
  16, 1984.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell,
  where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Robert J.
  Horner officiating.  Interment, Jenner Township Baptist Church
  Cemetery.
