Stevens was born Nov. 13, 1944, in Meyersdale. She was the daughter of Richard Lindeman of State College and the late Clara (Pugh) Blake. She had resided in the Tidioute area for over 20 years. Stevens is survived by her husband, David L. Stevens, whom she wed March 18, 1993, in Mars, Pa.; a step-father, Burdette Blake of Grantsville, Md., who raised her; a daughter, Sherry (Porter) Younker of Julian, Pa.; three brothers: Robert of Rochester, N.Y.; Thomas of Salisbury; and Duane of Meyersdale; and one sister, Sandra Hernandez of Copperas Cove, Texas. She is also survived by a grandson, Mason Younker; an aunt and uncle, Ada and Daniel Pugh of Meyersdale; and several nieces and nephews. Stevens was a member of the Goodnews Community Church in Warren. Friends were scheduled to be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 26 (today), at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, with services scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, June 27, at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Hamilton, pastor of the Goodnews Community Church, officiated. Interment, Warren Co. Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
