    Sara M. "Sally" Stevens, 86, Middleton, N.J., formerly of Somerset,
  died Feb. 1, 1999, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, N.J.  Born
  July 11, 1912, in Bedford, daughter of John Brushen and Miriam
  (Beegle) McLaughlin.  Preceded in death by parents, husband, Oscar
  William Stevens, who died Sept. 9, 1967; four sisters: Kathleen
  Pretz, Miriam McLaughlin, Helen Brogan and Mary Louise Walsh; four
  brothers: John L., Charles, Thomas and Patrick McLaughlin.  Survived
  by children: John William Stevens and wife, Eileen, Middleton, N.J.;
  and Ann Kristine, wife of George Ellis, Nacogdoces, Texas.  Retired
  accounting supervisor of tax section for Pennsylvania Department of
  Revenue.  Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Monmouth, N.J. 
  Graveside services and interment in Everett Cemetery will be held at
  the convenience of the family.  Local arrangements by Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home.
