  HOWARD E. STEWART SR.
  
    Howard Earl Stewart Sr., 57, of 603 North Third Street, LaVale,
  Md., died Sunday, August 17, 1986, at Sacred Heart Hospital,
  Cumberland, Md.
    Born in Cumberland, Md. Aug. 1, 1929, he was the son of Mrs. Ruth
  E. (Huff) Stewart Light, of the residence, and the late Clifford
  Stewart.
    He was a custodian at the LaVale United Methodist Church.
    Also surviving are four sons, Howard E. Stewart Jr., Laurel, Md.;
  Greg S. Stewart, Charleston, S.C.; Michael L. Skelly, Cumberland,
  Md.; and Kenneth N. Stewart, Wellersburg; one daughter, Mrs. Brenda
  C. Simmons, Staunton, Va.; one brother, David K. Light, LaVale, and
  seven grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where services
  were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. by Pastor Daren L. Ritchey.  
    Interment, Hillcrest Burial Park.
    Pallbearers were Roy Perrell, Robert Huff Jr., Robert Bosley, James
  Moreland, Dale Martin and James Simmons.
