GEORGE W. STEYER

  George W. Steyer, 71, of Confluence RD 1, died Friday, December 23, at his 
home.  He was born September 1, 1878, a son of the late George and Phoebe Imel 
Steyer.
  He was a school teacher for about 20 terms in Lower Turkeyfoot Township and 
also operated a farm.  He had been supervisor in the township for 30 years and 
for the past 17 years drove a township school bus.
  He is survived by his wife, Lucy Porterfield Steyer, and a daughter, Mrs. 
Barbara Rederick of Confluence.
  Funeral services were held at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home at Indian Head, 
Monday afternoon, the Rev. Fleming of the Confluence Baptist Church officiating.
