He was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Pittsburgh, a son of Mrs. Margaret Hall Stitt of Springfield, Va., and the late Larry W. Stitt. He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Murray James. He is survived by the following children: Larry Edwin, John Walker, Mrs. Cornelius (Jeanne) Sullivan and David Christian, all of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jane Simmons of Virginia and Mrs. Ruth Smith of Michigan. He was a veteran of World War II, U.S. Navy, VFW Post No. 554, Somerset and a disabled war veteran. Memorial service and interment will take place in Washington, D.C., at the convenience of the family, under the direction of the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home.
