  JOHN P. STODDARD
  
    John P. Stoddard Sr., 67, Byhalia, Miss., formerly of Indian Lake,
  died Sept. 25, 1980, at home.
    He was born Dec. 25, 1912, in Pittsboro, Miss., son of Lucien and
  Neva (Shannon) Stoddard.  He was preceded in death by his parents. 
  He is survived by his wife, the former Arneda Mabry; and these
  children: Ruth, wife of William S. Wilson Sr., Johnstown; John P.
  Jr., married to the former Jean Hummel, Somerset; Mary, wife of
  Lawrence Sarver, and Mrs. Linda Chalk, both of Berlin; 15
  grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  He was the brother of Clifton
  Stoddard and Mrs. Carolyn Ferguson, both of Memphis, Tenn.  He was a
  member of the First Baptist Church, Olive Branch, Miss.; Somerset
  Lodge Number 358 F. and A.M.; AASR Harrisburg Consistory; and Jaffa
  Temple, Altoona.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where services were held with the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. 
  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.  Masonic services were held at
  the funeral home.
