Born in Boswell, April 30, 1910, he was the son of the late Alexander and Phyllis (Zlotkowski) Stokowski. A resident of Lower Burrell since 1948, he retired from his work as a carpenter at the Allegheny Ludlum Seel Corp., Brackenbridge Works, in 1974 following 26 years of service. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Lower Burrell. He is survived by his wife, Anne H. (Stedina) Stokowski; three daughters: Mrs. Jose (Joanne) Marrero, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Ralph (Maryann) George, Olmsted Township, Ohio; Mrs. Joseph (Phyllis Jean) Dombrowski, Bethel Park; one sister, Mrs. Michael (Sophie) Nimick; and a brother, Walter Stokowski, both of Cleveland; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Wisniewski, and a brother, Julius. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Rusiewicz Lower Burrell Funeral Home, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell. Interment will follow at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Boswell.
