Born Oct. 24, 1908, in Somerset. Predeceased by sons Roger in 1946 and Jack Williams in 2001. Married to Haven Williams of Altoona, Pa. from 1932 until his death in 1973. Married to Dr. Paul Stolz of Fleetwood from 1978 until his death in 2001. Survived by daughter Suzanne Tips, Tulsa, Okla., and son David Williams, Berwyn; four step-daughters, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graduated from Juniata College, majoring in music and taught piano at the college briefly thereafter; her students included the late John Monti, former music director for Altoona High School. Active member of AAUW, Altoona Symphony League and various other civic organizations. Taught private piano lessons for many years in Altoona. Music was such an important part of her life and she played the piano into her 96th year. Lived in Altoona, Long Island, N.Y., Fleetwood, Satellite Beach, Fla. and Tulsa, Okla. A service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Husband Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made either to Grace United Methodist Church, 320 Felgar Road, Somerset, Pa. 15501, or to Juniata College, 1700 Moore St., Huntingdon, Pa. 16652, with a notation that the gift is in memory of Verona Rephorn Williams Stolz and that such gift is to be earmarked for the music department. 10/29/2004 Daily American
