He was born Dec. 3, 1906, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Dr. Henry Kimmel Stoner and Dr. Jessie (Boggs) Stoner. He is survived by his wife, the former Pearl E. Keeney; and these children: John O. Jr., Tucson, Ariz.; Dr. Peter, Berlin; Mrs. Mary Sredanovic, Menlo Park, Calif.; and Mrs. Ruth Jodon, Greensburg; also 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Graduate of Berlin-Brothersvalley High School and Case-Western Reserve University. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Somerset, American National Hygienic Society and Santa Gertrudis Cattle Association. He was a former member of the board of directors of the National Bank of Western Pennsylvania, and former member and past president of the Berlin Lions Club. Also a member and past president of Johnstown Health Organization. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (today) and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dr. William T. Doncaster Jr. and the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
