Born July 31, 1907, in Casselman, a daughter of William H. and Savannah (Cook) Whipkey. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert Luther Stoy, who died in 1983; two sisters, Iona A. Whipkey and Kathryn N. Miller. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A 1925 graduate of Rockwood High School, a 1927 graduate of California Normal School. Member of Casselman United Methodist Church, where she was the pianist for 77 years. She also retired as an elementary school teacher for Rockwood Area Schools. Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating.
