Born in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, on Friday, Feb. 17, 1961, he is the son of the late James Leon Straight and Norma J. (Hewitt) Straight-Albright, of New Baltimore, who survives him. Scott is also preceded in death by his stepfather Eugene H. Albright. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (Maddy) Straight, whom he married on July 21, 1984. Daughters, Gloria and Amanda Straight, both at home; sister, Susan Varner, Waynesburg; brother, James, husband of Pamela (Phillips) Straight, Waynesburg, brother Brett, husband of Susan (Gardner) Straight, Berlin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, in-laws and many friends of which he will be sadly missed by all. He was an ironworker for local 568 of Cumberland, and worker for Somerset Steel of Somerset. He was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore. He was a graduate of Berlin High School class of 1979, a member of the Waynesburg Loyal Order of Moose, Kennel's Mill Sportsmen Club and the New Baltimore Sportsmen Club. Scott liked to hunt, watch wrestling and most of all he enjoyed riding his Harley with his friends. Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 8:30 p.m. Monday. Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Allen Zeth celebrant. Committal Service at St. John's Cemetery, New Baltimore. Daily American, no date [S3123]
