STRATTAN Richard Thompson Strattan was born May 22, 1867. He was 81 years old at the time of his death. His earlier life was spent in Meyersdale. For many years he operated a grocery and market in Ellwood City. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Edna Strattan, and the following children: Leighton, of Ellwood City; Richard of Hardyville; Mary Kathryn at home; Mrs. Ada Hinkle, of Hardyville; Mrs. Ruth Steckman, of Ellwood City, and Harold of New Castle. A son, 1st Lt. Royal Strattan, was killed in action in the South Pacific in 1945. A sister, Mrs. Carrie Kimmel of Poland, O., and 11 grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held at the family home in Hardyville with burial in the Moundville cemetery.
