Streletz, 65, Richland Township, formerly of Windber, passed away Sept. 2, 2006, at Laurel Crest Manor. Born Aug. 10, 1941, in Windber, a son of John and Mary (Mihaley) Streletz. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, John and George Streletz. Survived by wife, Sharon (Haschak) Streletz and these children, Gregory Streletz, San Francisco, Calif., and Tia and Alissa Streletz, Richland. Also survived by sisters-in- law, Irene Streletz, Massapequa, N.Y. and Marion Streletz, Hagerstown, Md.; nieces and nephews; and family friend, Joseph Zahurak. A 1960 graduate of Windber High School, Joe studied at the Berklee School of Music and the New England Conservatory, Boston, receiving a bachelor's degree in 1964 and obtaining a master's degree from Duquesne University in 1965. He retired from the Conemaugh Valley School District in 1998 after 21 years of service as a music teacher and band director. He previously taught in the Shade-Central City and Glendale Area School Districts. Joe was a Jazz pianist, perform- ing at many local venues over the years as a member of "Men of Swing" and "Touch of Class" and other various groups. He also taught private music lessons. A member of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Windber, where funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Matthew Misurda, celebrant. Friends received 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Committal, church cemetery.
