Streng, Sr., 80, Pittsburgh, formerly of Meyersdale, died July 24, 1976 in Pittsburgh. Born April 12, 1896 in Meyersdale, a son of the late Charles and Carolyn (Bowser) Streng. Also preceded in death by his first wife, Leona Christner; a sister, Bessie Spear; a brother, Luther. Survived by his widow, Wilma Deem and these children: Arthur Jr.; James C.; Steven W.; Martin; Grant; Mrs. Janet Lorusso and Mrs. Dee Kennedy, all of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Bernice Schrock and Mrs. Althea Twigg, both of Meyersdale; Mrs. Emily Durst, LaVale, Md. and Mrs. Linda Frank, Houston, Tex.; 12 grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Also Survived by four sisters: Mrs. Nellie Cuiler, Hialeah, Fla.; Mrs. Edith Scidner; Mrs. Mary Bittner; Mrs. Florence Schaub, all of Canton, Ohio and brother, Paul, Meyersdale and a foster brother, Charles Spear of Salisbury. Friends are being received at the Leckemby-Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Hanna officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery.
