McCrae of Canton, O., where she had been visiting for several months. Mrs. Streng was a daughter of Jacob and Caroline (Hersch) Bowser and was born in Somerset County on March 21, 1875. She leaves her husband, Charles C. Streng, and these children: Mrs. McCrae, mentioned above; Mrs. R. E. Miller, Carrolton, O.; Mrs. Philson Bittner and Mrs. Emmett H. Schaub, both of Canton, O.; Arthur Streng, Meyersdale; Luther Streng, Trenton, N.J., and Paul Streng, Meyersdale. Eleven grandchildren and two great- grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Streng was a sister of Emanuel Bowser, Meyersdale; John Bowser, residing in West Virginia; Mrs. J. M. Brant, Canton, O.; Mrs. A. W. Poorbaugh, Meyersdale, and Mrs. George Zinn, Bedford. The remains were removed to the Streng home Sunday. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon in the Main Street Brethren Church, of which the deceased was a member. Rev. O. A. Lorenz officiated. Interment was in Union Cemetery under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, local mortician. Meyersdale Republican, July 17, 1941
