Stringent, 45, of Edwards Street, Johnstown, died May 31, 2000, at home. Born Oct. 14, 1954, in Somerset, daughter of Reid and Jean Walker. Survived by husband William R. Jr.; daughters Allison, Katie and Kelsey, all at home; sisters Deborah Baker of Berlin, Diane Pritts of Harrisburg and Barbara Spisso of Greensburg; and brothers Philip and Scott Walker of Somerset. She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and received her master's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Associate director of School of Nursing at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for 20 years. Member of the National League of Nursing, Pa. League of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau, University of Pittsburgh Alumni Association and Westmond Church of the Brethren. Friends received from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (today) at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, with the Rev.
