She was born March 15, 1903 in Somerset County and is survived by her husband, John W. Stumbaugh and one son, John J. Stumbaugh of Chambersburg; and six daughters: Mrs. George (Marguerite) Lape, Chambersburg RD 4; Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Cutshall, Chambersburg RD 3; Mrs. William E. (Betty) Snyder, Chambersburg RD 11; Mrs. Alexander (Shirley) Christ, Jr., Chambersburg; Mrs. Robert (Charlotte) Ericson, Chambersburg; and Mrs. Percy (Wanda) Pogue, Chambersburg RD 4. Two half-sisters from the Somerset area: Mrs. Anthony (Evelyn) Strasiser of Kantner; and Mrs. Carl (Ruby) Meyers, Stoystown; 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was a member of the King Street United Brethren Church; member of the Missionary Society; the Buds of Promise Sunday School Class; and the Womens' Temperance Union. The family will receive friends at the Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the King Street United Brethren Church with the Rev. Paul B. Baker and the Rev. William T. Snyder officiating. A viewing will preceded the funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment, Browns Mills Cemetery. Daily American, October 3, 1977 [S3209]
