Born February 24, 1920, at Addison Township, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Cora Jane (Wilt) Fazenbaker. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Joseph Platter and her second husband Merrill Sturtz and one son Robert Platter. Surviving are two sons: Floyd D. Platter, Grantsville; Blaine T. Platter, Smithsburg, Md.; one stepson, Robert D. Sturtz, Calhoun, Ga.; one daughter, Virginia J. "Tiny" Platter, Gaithersburg, Md.; one stepdaughter, Marianna K. Alemi, Orlando, Fla.; ten grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Jennings United Methodist Church, Mars Hill Homemakers and she was a homemaker. Friends were received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 16 at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville. Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, with the Rev.
