  CARL R. STURTZ
  
    Carl R. Sturtz, 81, died September 21, 1983 at the West Virginia
  University Medical Center in Morgantown, West Virginia.
    Born in Wellersburg March 30, 1902, he was a son of the late Hiram
  Sturtz and Drusilla (Witt) Sturtz.
    He was a retired miner and construction worker.
    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Leona (Thomas) Sturtz; one son,
  Carl Ray Sturtz, Ellerslie, Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Shockey,
  Lonaconing, Md.; Mrs. Doris D. Miller and Mrs. Susan L. Getz, both of
  Wellersburg; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Hyndman where services were conducted by the Rev. Harold W. Crabtree.
    Interment in the Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, Md.
