   Jane L. "Mel" Sturtz, 47, Berlin, formerly of Stoystown, died May 7, 2008, at Memorial
  Medical Center. Born June 26, 1960, in Somerset, daughter of Ruth (Jones) Sturtz,
  Kantner, and the late William F. Sturtz. Survived by these children, Shawn Hadix,
  Stoystown; Jason Hadix, Jerome; Trista Hadix, Johnstown; and Tenisha Hadix, Berlin;
  grandchildren, Shane, Halie and Jason L. Hadix, Teardra Monteith, and Lucas Rensko.
  Sister of Vicky Donitzen (her bestest buddy), Diana Zarefoss and William D. Sturtz, all
  of Stoystown. A 1978 graduate of North Star High School and Somerset County Vo-Tech. She
  was a certified nurse's aide. Member of Central City VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Attended
  Otterbein United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of
  service at 6 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. The Rev. James Hamilton
  officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Deaner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 555
  Stoystown, PA 15563 to assist with expenses.
