Born Oct. 31, 1912 in Boswell, a daughter of the late William Lawrence and Savilla Ellen (Croyle) Horner. Preceded in death by her husband, Victor Lewis Sturtz, who died in 1957; and three brothers and three sisters. Survived by her daughter, Virginia Lee Walls and husband, Dale, Bedford Valley; granddaughter, Sandra Denise Fentress and husband, Steven; great-grandson, Thomas John Neilson Jr., all of West Friendship, Md.; 2 step grandchildren; brothers, Robert and wife, Nancy, Boswell RD; and sister Ellen F. Wolford, Hollsopple RD. Mrs. Sturtz had worked in the tube production room at Kelly Springfield Tire Company in Cumberland. Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Wellersburg Volunteer Fire Company. She attended Wellersburg United Methodist Church. Friends were received Sunday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, and will be received from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Route 403 and Church Road, Davidsville where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Rev.
