Born March 2, 1920 in Listie, the son of the late William Blaine and Vera (Trent) Stutzman. Preceded in death by brothers, Jacob, Raymond and Clyde Stutzman; sisters, Alta Spangler, Mary Eicher and Autrice Sipe. Survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Janet Louise Blades; children, Mrs. William (Linda) Smith of Uniontown, James Stutzman of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. William (Claudia) Kinter of Canon City, Colo.; grandchildren, Mrs. Kristi Michaelis, Mrs. Stephanie Valentic and Jason Reynolds. Also survived by sisters, Mrs. Orville "Pete" (Erma) Boyd of Somerset, Mrs. Ferne Beers of Mechanicsburg, and Mrs. Fred (Gazella) Gross of Somerset. A 1939 graduate of Somerset High School. Member of the Faith Lutheran Church. A World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran where he served in the Aleutian Islands. He had worked as a tanker truck driver and later a dispatcher for Exxon Mobile Corp. until his retirement in 1981 with 28 years of service. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge, VFW Post 554, American Legion Post 181, Eagles Aerie 1801 and NRA. He also enjoyed hunting, bowling, camping and walking his dog, Tiger. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Viewing at the church one hour prior to services. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday at the Faith Lutheran Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Kenneth M. Diable officiating. Interment, Wills Cemetery. Military Graveside Rites Accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard. Contributions may be made to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, 1590 North Center Ave., Somerset, PA 15501.
