Stutzman, 51, Somerset RD 1 died Dec. 3, 1978 at Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born June 14, 1927 in Somerset, he was a son of Mrs. Ida Menser Stutzman Barkman Wilson, Johnstown and the late Jacob T. Stutzman. Preceded in death by one brother, Richard Stutzman and half brother, John C. Barkman. Survived by his wife, the former Eleanor E. Mull, three children, Richard W., Somerset RD 1; James R., Somerset RD 5 and Edward L. at home; two granddaughters, a half-brother, Sheldon Stutzman, Cleveland, Ohio; three stepbrothers: Larry Wilson, Arizona; Dale Wilson, Johnstown and Mark Wilson, North Carolina; a step-sister, Mrs. Nancy Thompson, Ohio. Served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Local No. 50, for 31 years. Member of Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Monday in the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Gregory Pile officiating.
