   Ralph W. Stutzman, 76, Friedens, died Aug. 25, 2008, at home. Born May 30, 1932, in
  Stonycreek Township, the son of Walter and Sadie (Trent) Stutzman. Preceded in death by
  parents; brothers, Harold and Merle Stutzman; sisters, Mae Walker, Luella Duppstadt and
  Bernice Lepczyk. Survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Kathleen "Kate" Walker;
  children, Michael R., married the former Barbara Miller; Barbara, married to Daniel
  Halverson, all of Friedens; grandchildren, Suzy, married to William Housley, Jill and
  Marcy Stutzman, Jason and Matthew Halverson; great-grandchildren, Paige, Luke and Eve
  Housley. Brother of Ruth Whipple, California; Dorothy Reffner, Iowa; and Jean Friedline,
  Somerset. Attended Shanksville-Stonycreek High School. A retired Stonycreek Township
  coal miner, dairy farmer and former Chemgro seed salesman. Member of Friedens Lutheran
  Church and Friedens Chamber of Commerce. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to
  9 p.m. Wednesday at Friedens Lutheran Church, where service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday.
