Stutzman, 87, of Friedens RD 2, died April 17, 1980 at Somerset Community Hospital. Born March 28, 1893 in Stonycreek Township, daughter of Alex and Annie (Rayman) Trent. Preceded in death by parents; son, Merle who was killed in World War II; daughter, Mae Walker; two sisters; and two brothers. Survived by husband, Walter E., whom she married Feb. 4, 1912; and the following children: Harold and Ralph, both of Friedens RD 2; Mrs. Clarence (Ruth) Whipple, Petaluma, Cal.; Mrs. Virgil (Luella) Duppstadt, Stoystown RD 3; Mrs. Howard (Dorothy) Reffner, Tempe, Ariz.; Mrs. Ernest (Jean) Hoffman, Somerset RD 7; Mrs. Warren (Bernice) Lepczyk, Baltimore, Md.; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Sister of Mervin Trent, Friedens RD 2. Member of Faith Lutheran Church; Charter Member Fourth Society of Farm Women. Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Remains will be removed to Faith Lutheran Church to lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Charles J. Hartbauer. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
