Suder, 88, of Berlin, died Aug. 28, 2002, at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born April 5, 1914, in Stonycreek Township, son of J. Wallace and Olive (Miller) Suder. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Nora Shumaker, sisters, Evelyn Novak and Mary Belle Yinkey, brother, Norman "Shorty" Suder, half-sister, Marian Hail and half-brothers, Ralph and Lloyd Ash. Survived by a daughter, LaVerne, married to Lester Coslic, of Berlin; grandchildren, Daniel Coslic and Susan, wife of William Miller Jr.; great-grandsons, Steven Warrington, Justin Coslic Brandon and Blake Miller, half-sisters, Olive Maust of Berlin, and Shirley Law of South Carolina. Former Somerset County coal miner. He also worked for Queen Electric, H.W. Walker Company, Berkey Milk Company and retired from Beatrice Foods, all of Somerset. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, and Somerset I.O.O.F. Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, raising ringnecks, fishing, trapping, golfing, boating, coin collecting and CB radios. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deanen Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. James Hughes and Rev. Ralph Landis officiating.
