"Shorty" Suder, 80, formerly of Confluence, died April 19, 1996, at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate. Born Jan. 14, 1916, in Brothersvalley Township, son of the late Wallace and Olive (Miller) Suder. Preceded in death by wife, Henrietta, in 1983; daughter, Olive Marie, sisters: Evelyn Novak and Mary Belle Yinkey; brothers, David, Charles and Lloyd Ash; half sisters: Gladys Ash and Marian Hail. Survived by brother, Harry Suder, Berlin RD 1; half-brother, Ralph "Jake" Ash, Somerset; half-sisters, Olive Maust, Berlin, and Shirley Law, South Carolina; special niece, Jolinda King, and nephews, Robert, Thomas Younkin, all of Confluence. Retired employee of J.J. Newberry Co. Member of Brethren Church. Friends were received Sunday evening at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Rev. Roger Forry officiating. Interment, Berlin Cemetery. Daily American, April 22, 1996 [S3309]
