Jr. 06/23/07 Daily American Joseph J. Sulc Jr., 89, of Uniontown until 1974 and Dunedin, Fla., from 1974 to 2007, died June 21, 2007, in Plano, Texas. He was born on Aug. 18, 1917, in Puritan. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian (1991); mother, Mary in 1960; father, Joseph Sulc Sr. in 1978; sister, Stella Kensic in 1959; and brother, Cyprian in 1974. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Joseph J. Sulc; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Sulc; and granddaughters, Amanda and Emily, Dallas. Joe was in the soft drink bottling business for more than 40 years in Uniontown, owner and operator of the RC Bottling Co. He served his country during World War II, with the U.S. Army 68th Medical Regiment in France, Belgium and Germany. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Dunedin; Knights of Columbus (4th degree), Dunedin; BPO Elks (life member), Uniontown; VFW (life member) Uniontown and American Legion, Uniontown. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown. A Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Father Micah E. Kozoil as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Uniontown, where Military Honors will be accorded. Parish Wake service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
