Born Feb. 4, 1940, in Pocahontas, she was the daughter of Harvey and Mabel Miller of Schellsburg. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Summers is survived by her husband of 36 years, Joseph L. Summers, Jr., of Port Tobacco; two sons: Jeffrey J. Summers and wife, Kimberly, of Mechanicsville, Md.; and Troy A. Summers and wife, Nettie, of Nanjemoy, Md.; two brothers: Harold Miller, married to the former Donna Amick of Fishertown, Pa.; and Paul Miller, married to the former Irma Campbell of Brockway, Pa.; three sisters: Betty L., wife of William Albright, Meyersdale; Thelma, wife of William Triplett, Schellsburg; and Lois, wife of Daniel Boyer, Fishertown; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Summers was a 1958 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. She was an Episcopalian and a member of the Christ Church Tobacco Parish in LaPlata, Md. She was a member of the Altar Guild. She graduated from the Warrilin Beauty School and was a self-employed beautician for more than 30 years. Funeral services were held Oct. 6, with the Rev. Joseph Trigg officiating.
