  SUMMY
  
    Effie Summy, 75, Meyersdale RD 1, died Jan. 14, 1993, at Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born May 31, 1917, in Elk Lick Township, daughter
  of late Solomon S. and Magaleen (Yoder) Hochstetler.  Also preceded in
  death by husband, Peat Y.  Survived by two sons and two daughters -
  Noah P., Meyersdale RD 3; Perry, Coalgate, Okla., and Sadie Summy and
  Marian, wife of Ernest Slabaugh, both of Meyersdale RD 1; 10
  grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.  Member of Summit Mills Old
  Order Amish Church.  Operated Summy Candies in Summit Mills.  Friends
  received at the late home.  Funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday at
  Summit Mills Amish Church, with Bishop Wilmer A. Yoder.  Interment,
  church cemetery, under direction of Leckemby Funeral Home.
