Summy, 83, of 1590 Posey Row Road, Grantsville, Md., died Sept. 25, 1996, at his residence. Born May 19, 1913, at Dodge City, Kan., he was a son of the late Jacob S. and Amanda (Yoder) Summy. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Fannie (Lee) Summy, Oct. 20, 1980. Summy was a farmer and member of Niverton Old Order Amish Church. Survivors include his wife, Amanda (Zook) Bender Summy; 5 sons: Simon, Lewisville, Ga.; Daniel, Charlottesville, Va.; Floyd, Salisbury; Harvey, Grantsville; Bennie, Meyersdale; 2 daughters: Amanda (Mrs. David) Kinsinger, Dunnegan, Mi.; Effie (Mrs. Samuel) Kinsinger, Meyersdale; a brother, John, Stuarts Draft, Va.; 2 sisters: Matilda Yoder, Meyersdale, and Mary Yoder, Salisbury; also 38 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the residence Friday and until time of service on Saturday. Services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. (EST) Saturday at Niverton Church, with Bishop Noah B.
