She had long suffered from mental ailment, was very melancholy most of the time, and much of the time refused to eat. Her mental condition is supposed to have brought about her death. She was a daughter of Peter Hershberger, and is survived by her husband, Benjamin Summy, and three sisters, namely, Mrs. Lydia Hersht of Holmes, Ohio; Miss Naomi Hershberger residing in the State of Indiana; and Mrs. Caroline Slaubaugh of Plain City, Ohio. Funeral services were held at the Amish Church, near Summit Mills, Tuesday, at 10 a.m., and conducted by Rev. Joe Yoder. Burial was in the Amish Cemetery, nearby, under the direction of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas, of Salisbury. Meyersdale Republican, November 27, 1941
