Sutton, 73, of 10224 New Hope Road, N.W., Frostburg, Md., died Thursday, Dec. 4, 1997 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born Jan. 10, 1924 in Salisbury, the daughter of the late Robert and Goldeen (Dishong) Walker. She also was preceded in death by one brother and a sister. Mrs. Sutton was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Frostburg. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Claude S. Sutton; two sons, Robert Sutton and wife, Mary, Aurora, Colo., and David Sutton and wife, Delia, Miami, Fla.; two daughters, Nancy Mitchell and husband, William, Somerset and Rita Hay and husband, Nevin, Rockwood; one brother, Herman Walker, Warren, Ohio; two sisters, Emma Jane Popovich and Martha Nagle, both of Riverside, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 11 a.m., Monday, with the Rev. Douglas Gonzales officiating. Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale. Daily American, December 6, 1997 [S3363]
