  LUCAS D. SVONAVEC
  
  Lucas D. Svonavec, 22, of Rockwood, passed away May 28, 2004.  The
  gentle, giving and spirited son of David D. and Elizabeth L. (Betty
  Lou Luce) Svonavec was born Jan. 3, 1982, at Mercy Hospital in
  Johnstown.  He is survived by parents, sister Heidi M. Svonavec,
  brother Gabriel B. Svonavec, grandparents Matthew B. and Margaret G.
  Luce, Joseph J. and Grace I. Svonavec and best friend Jessica L.
  Darr.  He attended St. Peter's Catholic School, Rockwood Area High
  School and Allegany Community College of Maryland.  He was baptized,
  confirmed and a member of St. Peters' Catholic Church.  Luke was
  successfully involved in 4-H and FFA, as well as being a member of
  the Pa. Beef Producers and his local chapter of the NRA.  Previously
  employed by Errer Hill Farms, he was an active member of the
  community and the agriculture industry.  Luke was an authorized
  Cover-All dealer, owner and operator of LS Trucking and presently
  worked among friends on a disaster relief team for Paul Bunyan Tree
  Service.  Most recently Luke offered his time as a volunteer for the
  American Cancer Society through his involvement in fund raising
  events on the family farm at The Hayloft.  Friends were received
  Monday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset.  Funeral Mass will be
  offered at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with
  Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli celebrant.  Committal following the Mass
  will be at the Svonavec Family Cemetery, Rockwood.  Contributions may
  be made to St. Peter's Memorial Garden at St. Peter's Catholic
  Church, 433 Church Street, Somerset, Pa. 15501.
