SWALP Garrett County, Maryland The sad news has been received here that Samuel Lincoln Swalp, who was born at Engle's Mill, on Bear Creek, near Accident, Md., on September 15, 1864, died on November 8, at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 14 days, his death taking place near Carleton, Neb. He left here in the spring of 1890 with his mother, sisters and brothers, and since that time resided near Carleton, Neb., until his death. He was a first cousin of C. H. Bird, of Addison Township, Mrs. Mary Jefferys and Mrs. Linda Keim, of Addison, Mrs. Cora Edgar and Mrs. Margaret Mickey of Confluence. He was a son of Lewis and Rebecca Engle Swalp, deceased, who were well known to many of the older residents of Somerset and Garrett Counties. Meyersdale Republican, December 4, 1930
