  SWANK
  
  Beula C. Swank, 79, of Somerset, died Aug 11, 2003, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born March 31, 1924, in Stoneycreek Township, she is the
  daughter of the late Gladen and Etta (Lambert) Walker.  Also preceded
  in death by her husband, Orlo Swank, and son, James Allen Swank. 
  Survived by children, Barry E. and wife Bonnie, Clair L. and wife
  Molly, and David W. and wife Judy Swank, and Judith L. and husband
  William Rugg all of Somerset and foster daughter, Velma Lape of
  Rockwood.  Eleven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Sister
  of Elwood Walker of Dayton, Ohio, Lorraine Shaffer of Coraopolis and
  H. Lee Walker of San Juan, Calif.  Member of Faith Lutheran Church,
  Somerset County Saddle Club, Somerset County 4-H and the Lady
  Shepherds.  She showed animals at the Somerset County Fair for over
  40 years.  Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.  Service will be held at 2 p.m.
  Friday in the Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Kathleen Kuehl
  officiating.  Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park.  There will
  be viewing at the church from 1 p.m. until time of services. 
  Contributions may be made to Shanksville Fire Department,
  Shanksville, Pa. 15560 or Somerset County 4-H Scholarship Fund, 165
  E. Union St., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
