Swartzentauber, 69, of Oakland RD 2, Md., died Friday, March 3, 1989 at Garrett Memorial Hospital, Md. Born Oct. 18, 1919, in Oakland, Md., he was the son of the late Simon D. and Daisy (Yoder) Swartzentauber. Surviving are his widow, Rachel (Byler) Swartzentauber; four sons, Daniel Swartzentauber, Joseph Swartzentauber, Abner Swartzentauber and Eli Swartzentauber, all of Oakland, Md.; three daughters: Mrs. Rhoda Brenneman, Salisbury; Mrs. Catherine Brenneman, Springs; and Miss Ada Swartzentauber, Oakland, Md.; four brothers: Henry Swartzentauber and Owen Swartzentauber, both of Oakland, Md.; Fred Swartzentauber, Belleville; and Lewis Swartzentauber, Dover, Del.; one sister, Mrs. Lena Yoder, Oakland, Md.; and 23 grandchildren. Friends were received at the Swartzentauber residence. Services were conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at the Gortner Amish Church by Bishop Norman Schrock. Interment, Slabaugh Cemetery.
