She was born July 27, 1913, at Springs, a daughter of the late Norman S. and Mayme (Kimmel) Maust. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen A. Swartzentruber on Oct. 7, 1982; an infant brother and a sister, Alma Maust. She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Richard (Connie) Wathen, Rocky Ford, Colorado; Mrs. George (Ruby) Ludwig, Upland, CA; a son and daughter-in-law, Clark and Kathy Swartzentruber; three grandchildren, Stacie, Jeff and Shawn Swartzentruber, Bay Port, MI; a sister, Frieda Maust; four brothers: John and Claude, Springs and Fort Hill; Herbert, Landis Homes of Litiz [sic]; Paul Maust, Montgomery, Indiana and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Pigeon River Mennonite Church; was a nurses aide at Schurer Hospital, Pigeon, for 25 years. Funeral services were conducted April 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Pigeon River Mennonite Church with Rev. Luke Yoder, pastor, assisted by Rev. Irvin Healy of Bay Port officiating. Interment, church cemetery.
