SWARTZENTRUBER Verda Brenneman Swartzentruber, 78, of Route 1, Montezuma, Ga., formerly of Springs, died Jan. 1, 1996 at her residence. Swartzentruber was born Feb. 24, 1917 in Grantsville, Md. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Lela E. (Yoder) Brenneman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Swartzentruber. She is survived by three brothers: Mark Brenneman, Montezuma; Henry Brenneman, Grantsville; and Carl Brenneman, Quincy, Ill.; two sisters: Mrs. Sara Yoder, Montezuma; and Miss Ida Brenneman, Virginia Beach, Va.; a stepson, Enos A. Swartzentruber, Montezuma; three stepdaughters: Miriam Welch, Columbus, Ga.; and Mildred Swartzentruber and Ruth Swartzentruber, both of Virginia Beach; and a number of nieces and nephews. Swartzentruber was a homemaker and a member of Mountain View Christian Fellowship, Salisbury. Friends were received Jan. 3 at the Newman Funeral Home in Grantsville. Services will be conducted Jan. 4 (today) at Mountain View Christian Fellowship, with Bishop Lewis Tice and Minister Henry Brenneman officiating. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery.
