  KARL D. SWARTZWELDER
  
    Karl D. Swartzwelder, 69, died at his home in Beachy Addition,
  Salisbury, Jan. 1.  Born in Elk Lick Twp., Jan 1, 1898, he was the
  son of John S. and Savilla (Meese) Swartzwelder.
    He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Hotchkiss) Swartzwelder,
  Salisbury; a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Faye, Salisbury; four brothers:
  Harry, Cumberland; Roland, Johnstown; Guy and Stanley, both of
  Salisbury; a sister, Mrs. Fern Christner, Coraopolis; four
  grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
    He was a lumberman in the Salisbury area for many years before his
  retirement and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ,
  Salisbury.
    Funeral service was held in Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, on
  Wednesday with Rev. Paul Westcoat Jr., officiating.  Interment in the
  IOOF Cemetery, Salisbury.
