  Richard Floyd Swartzwelder, 83, 607 Kircher Place, Boswell, died Dec.
  5, 1979, at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born May 10, 1896, in
  Listonburg, Somerset County, son of Franklin and Kathryn (Tressler)
  Swartzwelder.  Preceded in death by parents; first wife, the former
  Mildred Turvey, who died in 1954; second wife, the former Alma Strom,
  who died Nov. 27, 1979; also a brother and a sister.  Survived by
  these children: Richard Wayne of Boca Raton, Fla.; and Mrs. Dorothy
  Jean Kimmel, Orwigsburg, Pa.; also two grandchildren.  Brother of
  Mrs. Dessie Richardson, Scranton; Mrs. Alverda Towers, Cumberland,
  Md.; Mrs. Ethel Kegley, Frostburg, Md.; and Walter, Williamsport,
  Md.  Member of Horner Lutheran Church and Jenner Local 1742 UMWA,
  Army veteran of World War I.  Friends received from 11 a.m. Sunday
  until time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral
  Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, with the Rev. William H. Snyder. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
