  WALTER J. SWARTZWELDER
  
    Walter J. Swartzwelder, 76, of Williamsport RD 1, Md., died Jan.
  17, 1981 at his home.
    A native of Salisbury, he was a son of the late Frank J.
  Swartzwelder and Mrs. Emma Katherine (Tressler) Swartzwelder. 
    He was a member of Beaver Creek Christian Church and was a retired
  employee of Eastern Products, Hagerstown, Md.
    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Seward)
  Swartzwelder; two daughters, Mrs. Elinor D. Schildtknecht, and Mrs.
  Virginia Lea Hoffman Bolyard, both of Williamsport; one son, Neal J.
  Welder, Harrisburg; one stepson, Leonard R. Carney, Nebraska; three
  sisters, Mrs. Dessie M. Richardson, Scranton; Mrs. Alverda C. Towers,
  Cumberland, Md., and Ethel M. Kegley, Frostburg, Md. 
    Friends were received at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601
  Pennsylvania Avenue. 
    Services were conducted in the chapel.  Interment will be in Rest
  Haven Cemetery.
